ACTIVELY WORKING TOWARDS EQUITY FOR THE CANADIAN woman.
Every time you attend any of our sessions, you are lending your voice to a cause larger than yourself; that demonstrates your authentic championship and culminates in the improvement of women's lives and futures in our city and ultimately, beyond.

Our Woman & The Society Sessions (#WatsSessions) sit at the core of WTAL’s mandate—applying a deliberate, woman-centered lens to interrogate the structures, systems, and societal norms that continue to slow, narrow, and complicate the advancement of women.
These sessions are not symbolic—they are purposeful spaces for truth-telling, analysis, and forward movement. We convene honest, high-calibre dialogue on the challenges, opportunities, and triumphs shaping women’s lived realities across industries, identities, and stages of leadership. Through carefully curated conversations, we amplify the voices of respected women leaders whose experiences reflect the full complexity and diversity of our society.
For those seeking direction, #WatsSessions offer clarity, access, and tangible insight. For those already leading, they create a powerful platform to strengthen the pipeline—paying forward the support, advocacy, and fortification that shaped their own ascent.
#WatsSessions are our infrastructure for insight, access, connection, and continuity of leadership. Transforming individual stories into a collective force that fuels empowerment, influence, and sustained momentum across our community.
At WTAL, we have had the privilege of hosting exceptional women whose impact extends far beyond our stage. Many of our speaking alumnae continue to invest directly in our community—offering career guidance, business advisory, sponsorship, and long-term mentorship. Their continued engagement is not incidental; it is foundational. Their generosity and leadership are the true engines of WTAL’s impact.
Over the past three years, we have received hundreds of testimonials from both women and men describing our sessions as transformative. Attendees consistently point to the depth and breadth of the issues explored, the practicality and immediacy of the insights shared, and the lasting shift in confidence, ambition, and mindset they carry forward. We are deliberate in designing conversations where every person in the room leaves with something actionable and enduring.
Our sessions are intentionally community-shaped and outcomes-driven. Insights from speakers, panelists, and participants are not left in the room—they are distilled into the programs, initiatives, and interventions most urgently needed, directly informing the solutions WTAL builds, launches, and champions. This body of insight also feeds into our evolving understanding of how and where policy must be resolved, reformed, or reimagined to more accurately reflect and respond to women’s lived experiences.
We actively invite our community into the process—engaging attendees in selecting quarterly themes and shaping the direction of our work. This creates more than participation; it builds shared ownership. The result is a community that is not only invested in its own growth, but committed to understanding societal needs and advancing conversations that deliver the widest benefit and longest reach.
The impact is both tangible and visible. Women are expanding their sense of what is possible—stepping beyond comfort, pursuing long-deferred ambitions, and building lives that are not constrained by limitation, but defined by intention.
We are proud to give back to the city and nation that have shaped us—strengthened by the women who lead within it, supported by the community we serve, and guided by a clear conviction:
when women rise without restriction, society advances with them.
