Regardless of the nature of the challenge (in or about employability, career, business, education, discrimination/representation, personal/professional development, and relationships etc.), we commit to create and continue to build a platform where every challenge receives some resolution. At WTAL, we understand that females are confronted with unique challenges in their endeavors across the society and may not have access to the resources they need to overcome. Consequently, WTAL offers coaching, mentoring, business advisory, business showcase, investment/funding connection, and most popularly, WTALs monthly lecture-seminars, Woman and The Society (#WatsSessions).

The end goal is that women are armed with tools required to rise to leadership/executive level positions in organizations.
Through seminars and workshops, we aim to introduce women to business and entrepreneurship as an option to building their careers, provide an understanding of business opportunities, introduce concept of business, business economics, skills and abilities required for managing and growing a business, as well as the required personal skills and leadership qualities for successful entrepreneurship.

With a considerable portion of our membership/community falling between mid-teens to mid-twenties, and one of our objectives being our desire to empower the next generation, we had to ensure that we are honoring their consistent participation in WTAL activities and delivering on our promise by developing services that support youth empowerment. When one considers that over 1 in 10 immigrants to Canada are youth (ages 15 to 24) in addition to a currently burgeoning population, this demographic does require tremendous support - including for those who moved to the city and are transitioning to a new life/lifestyle without family. WTAL invites youth to all its event so as to create and reinforce the feeling of belonging and being included. Initiatives include mentorship and career coaching sessions, and the disbursement of awards to those who record academic and community prowess.

In a bid to break down the barriers that continue to separate women from beneficial relationships, WTAL opens its platform and doors to women from all walks of life: in ministry, public office/politics, and different professional sectors, career levels, and points/positions/junctures in their lives.
Mingling + networking are critical to ensure that in addition to personal and business development, people can form the necessary relationships to thrive in myriad parts of their lives. While WTAL seeks to connect women to career and business opportunities, it also wants to be the platform where conversations grow into mentor/mentee relationships and business partnerships. Nobody is an island and no business operates in a vacuum.
To thrive at anything, passion is imperative. WTAL helps women explore their passions; stimulate curiosity and creativity, unlock oneself from the 'box' of current thought process, challenge oneself, question the world and refuse to be complacent with current knowledge, and open oneself to continuous learning and growth opportunities.
