Dr. Phil's almost 3 decades long career in Women and Gender Studies, as a Full Professor in the University of Alberta, (Directorial) positions on the Council for the Development of Economic and Social Research in Africa (CODESRIA), the Pan-African Collaboration for Excellence (PACE), Chair of Premier's Council on Multiculturalism, and her work conducted through a female-critical lens as a collaborating researcher with the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development and gender-related initiatives across Canada, Africa, and other parts of the world, makes her a perfect fit for our women-focused social enterprise.

In this role, in addition to leading the board, Dr. Phil will also ensure that the organization continues to maintain effectiveness and performance, and remain abreast of the needs of women and appropriateness of our resolution.

Hon. JPs experience of over two decades in front-facing and relationship-centered roles has furnished her with extensive experience to serve as Director of Engagement, in addition to her role as Board Vice Chair. Hon. JP will spearhead oversight in building a framework that strengthens our relationships with partners and sponsors.

We are looking forward to continuing to build strategic partnerships (with government, organizations, community leaders, and the public to better serve our society), and further build on the blocks we have laid within the city and beyond, with Hon. JP helming these activities alongside top management.
